Championing history, preservation, and financial freedom through landownership
Jamestown Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, located in Florence, S.C, was founded to preserve and promote Jamestown, a community founded in 1870 by former slaves Ervin and Nora James, who purchased 246 acres in the Pee Dee region for their descendants.
Ervin James’ desire was for his heirs to be able to live independently, free of debt and ownership by another man.
